Colleges Under MHCET-LAW

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test – Law (MH-CET Law) is conducted for admission into law colleges across the state of Maharashtra. There are separate tests for the 3-year and 5-year LLB courses. The exam is an online one with multiple choice type questions. It is a 150-mark, 120-minute exam, and is conducted in English and Marathi.

Government Law College (GLC), Mumbai

Government Law College (GLC), established in 1855, has the distinction of being the oldest Law College in Asia, dating even prior to the University of Mumbai, and enjoys a pre-eminent reputation for excellence in the field of legal education. Having turned 160 years, GLC continues to hold a preeminent position in the field of legal education in India and is recognised as such too by the Bar Council of India.

The college offers the three-year LL.B. course as well as the five-year integrated B.L.S. LL.B. course.

Indian Law Society’s Law College

Indian Law Society’s Law College, is a private law school in Pune, India. It was established in 1924 and offers courses that include three-year and five-year degrees. The college was aided by The Ford Foundation. The college was affiliated with the University of Bombay, but with the founding of the University of Pune in 1949, the college became a constituent of the latter.

The ILS Law College was ranked ninth by India Today’s “India’s Best Colleges 2017: Law”, fourth in India by Outlook India’s “Top 25 Law Colleges In 2017” and ninth in India by The Week’s “Top Law Colleges 2017”.

The college offers the five-year B.A. LL.B., three-year LL.B. and LLM courses.

GJ Advani Law College

Gopaldas Jhamatmal Advani Law College, also known as GJ Advani Law College, was established in the year 1977 and is located in Bandra West, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

GJ Advani Law College offers a three-year LL.B. course. The college, in collaboration with Cognizance Education, also offers certificate courses in Cyber Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mergers & Acquisitions.

SVKM’s Pravin Gandhi College of Law

Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) is a Public Charitable Trust registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and The Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950.

The college offers the five-year integrated B.L.S., LL.B. degree awarded by Mumbai University.

Rizvi Law College

Rizvi Law College was established in the year of 2002 and is affiliated to Mumbai University.

The college offers the three-year LL.B. and five-year B.L.S. LL.B. programs approved by Bar Council of India.

Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College, Pune

Established in 1978, Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College, Pune is affiliated to Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune and is approved by Bar Council of India.

The courses offered by Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College, Pune are the three-year LL. B, five-year integrated B.A. LLB and BBA LL.B., two-year and one-year LLM programmes, and a Ph.D. in Law

DES Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune

DES Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College has been ranked in top 25 colleges by ‘India Today’ magazine three years consecutively.

The college offers the five-year integrated B.L.S. LL.B., the three-year LL.B., the two-year LLM and a Diploma in Taxation Laws.

Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU)

Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), formerly Nagpur University, is a public university in the city of Nagpur in the central Indian state of Maharashtra. It is one of India’s oldest universities, the second oldest in Maharashtra. The university is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

The college offers the three-year LLB course.

Central India College of Law

The Central India College of Law is affiliated to RTM, Nagpur University.

The college offers the three-year LL.B., five-year B.A. LL.B. and LL.M in Business Law, Criminal Law, Intellectual Property Laws and Constitutional Law & Administrative Law. The college also conducts six-months Diploma Courses in Cyber Laws, Corporate Law and Intellectual Property Law.

Navjeevan Law College, Nashik

Navjeevan Law College is Affiliated to University of Pune, and is recognised by the Government of Maharashtra, Bar Council of India, under the auspices of Navjeevan Education Society.

The college offers the three-year LL.B. and the five-year B.A. LL.B. courses, and graduate Diplomas in Intellectual Property Rights, Labour Laws and Taxation Laws.
