1. Overview

College of Law in Andhra University was established in 1945 in order to meet a long felt need for a College of Law in this part of the country. Hailed as one of the premier Institutes of legal educational Institute in the country, this college can boast of numerous distinguished and eminent personalities among its alumni. The college is supported by Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), a World Bank funded project to develop technical education in the country and in fact, AUCE(A) stands at No.1 position in implementing the programme in the country. As a mark of respect towards the chief architect of the Constitution of India Dr. BhimaRao Ramji Ambedkar, the College was renamed as Andhra University, Dr. B.R.Ambedkar College of Law in May 1991.

3-Year LL.B.

Total Fees – Rs. 4.82 lakhs

  • Year 1         – Rs. 1,92,000
  • Years 2-3 – Rs. 1,45,000 per annum

3. Eligibility

3.1 Undergraduate Programmes

3-Year LL.B.

  • Candidates must have completed any degree course with a minimum of 45% marks
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories, a relaxation of 5% in the minimum required marks is allowed
  • Admission will be on the basis of the rank obtained in the AP LAWCET

5-Year LL.B. (Self Financed)

  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 education from any recognised board with a minimum of 45% marks
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories, a relaxation of 5% in the minimum required marks is allowed
  • Admission will be on the basis of the rank obtained in the AP LAWCET
3.2 Postgraduate Programmes

LL.M. 2 Years (Full time)

  • Candidates must have completed 3-year or 5-year LL.B. course from any recognised college
  • Admission will be on the basis of the rank obtained in the AUCET examination
