MHCET 2023 EXAM NOTIFICATION: The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test MAH-CET, also known as MH CET/ MBA-CET/ MAH-MBA-CET/ MMS-CET, is a State-Level entrance exam for MBA/MMS programmes in Maharashtra State Universities. It provides access to prestigious colleges like JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA, K J Somaiya, N L Dalmiya, DSIMS, DY Patil, and others. Following the test, the shortlisted applicants must participate in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
MAH CET is a computer-based test that is administered in 35+ Maharashtra cities and 15+ cities in other states. Every year, thousands of people apply, hoping to get admission to one of the prestigious institutes.

THE MH CET SYLLABUS

Section 1-English and Comprehension:This section consists primarily of questions about comprehension passages, with at least two paragraphs followed by 5-10 questions. Synonyms and antonyms, sentence enhancement and rearrangement, idioms and phrases Fill up the holes by jumbling words and phrases. Your English language ability will be assessed here through

(1) comprehension of the passage’s contents and

(2) selection of relevant words, phrases, expressions, and similar language abilities. Candidates with a strong vocabulary and reading speed will fare well in this part. English proficiency will be primarily checked.

Section 2 -Quantitative Ability: This portion will put your speed, precision, and ability to deal with numbers to the test. Your ability to perform numerical calculations, various arithmetic problems requiring ratio and proportion, percentage, and so on will also be evaluated. This test primarily determines how excellent your quantitative thinking, table interpretation, common graphs, and charts are.
Numbers, Ratio – Proportion, Percentage, Numbers, SI & CI, Time – Distance, Height & Distance, Indices & Surds,Permutations & Combinations, Mensuration, Geometry, Logarithms, Time & Work, Probability, Profit-Loss, and Data Interpretation are examples of quantitative problems.

Section 3-Logical & Abstract Reasoning: TThe questions in both parts assess your ability to think quickly and accurately. You will be quizzed on figures, pictures, and verbal reasoning. The following principles are used to generate reasoning questions: Series, Input & Output, Directions, Linear and Circular Arrangements, Symbol-based Series Completion, Directions, Conditional Coding, Selection Criteria, Venn Diagrams, Deductions, and Coding-Decoding.

MHCET EXAM PATTERN

  • The MHCET test will be held online only, and the medium of instruction will be English.
  • The exam lasts two hours.
  • The test will only include ‘objective style questions,’ with no negative marking for incorrect responses.
  • There are 150 questions totaling up to 150 marks.
  • The marking structure for this test is such that one mark will be provided for each right answer. The test has no provision for negative marking.
  • English, general knowledge, legal aptitude, logical thinking, and fundamental mathematics are among the disciplines tested in the examination.

MHCET ELIGIBILITY

For LLB Course

  • He/she must have a minimum of 45% in 10+2 exams to be admitted to the 5 year integrated LLB programme.
  • He/she must have obtained a minimum of 45% in his/her undergraduate degree course to be admitted to the three-year LLB programme.
  • The candidate’s nationality should be Indian.
  • Aspirants must be residents of the state of Maharashtra.
  • For the integrated five-year programme, the candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognised board, and for the three-year course, he or she must possess a graduate or postgraduate degree from any recognised institution in any stream.
  • The general category candidate must have obtained 45% in the qualifying examination.
  • The applicant from the reserved category must have obtained a minimum of 40% in the qualifying examination.

For LLM Course

  • For GEN/OBC applicants, a minimum of 55% in LLB or an equivalent degree is required (50% for SC/ST students).
  • For admission, foreign national candidates must have an aggregate of 55% in their qualifying degree and will be summoned for a personal interview to assess their communication skills in English.
  • The general category candidate must have obtained 45% in the qualifying examination.
  • The applicant from the reserved category must have obtained a minimum of 40% in the qualifying examination.

5. How to Apply?

  • Rs. 800/- for applicants from the GEN/OBC categories.
  • For Reserved categories: Rs. 400/-
  • Rs. 400/- for reserved categories
  • There is no reimbursement for the application cost.
  • Payment for the application fee may be made online by internet payment/net banking/credit card/debit card/IMPS/Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.
  • Counseling charge: The MH CET counseling fee for general category students is 3000/-, whereas it is 1000/- for SC/ST students.
  • Candidates must go to the official MHT CET 2023 website cetcell.mahacet.org. To enroll themselves.
  • Fill out the relevant columns of the MHT CET 2023 application form with your personal information such as their name, parents’ names, communication data, address details, and so on.
  • Fill out the MHT CET 2023 application form and select your exam locations.
  • Candidates must provide scanned photos of their passport-size photographs and signatures to the MHT CET 2023 registration form in the manner specified.
  • Pay the MHT CET 2023 registration fee online using net banking/credit card/debit card or offline via cash.
  • After providing all of the information, you must print several copies of the completed MHT CET 2023 application form for future reference.

Counselling fee:MHCET counselling fee for General Category students is 3000/- while for SC/ST students it is 1000/-
