AILET 2020 Exam Latest Updates

As per the latest updates released on 30th June 2020, the AILET 2020 will be conducted as a Remote Proctored Test (RPT). The exam is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 18th August 2020, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

The test will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA will conduct webinars to provide further information and guidance to students regarding the new RPT mode, and will also release a Mock Test for the same.
Another important announcement has been made regarding the revision in reservation policy and seat matrix. In the original notification it was mentioned that 50% of the seats are reserved for candidates from Delhi. This decision was challenged in the High Court of Delhi and subsequently, NLU Delhi has revised the reservation policy and seat matrix. The reservations of 50% for candidates from Delhi, 22% for OBC and 10% for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), has thus been removed, all of these will be included in the Unreserved category. Please go through the latest notification given here for more details.

In view of these changes in the reservation policy, along with the change in the test mode (from paper based to RPT mode), the University is also giving the candidates an option to withdraw their application if needed. The link to withdraw the application is available in the notification link given above and it will be available from 1st July – 7th July 2020.

The last date for submission of online applications for AILET 2020 has also been extended upto July 7, 2020.

We’ll keep you posted with all the latest updates. All the best!
