2. Courses Offered

National Law University (NLU), Jodhpur offers undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate (PhD) level law programs to candidates. Courses offered at NLU Jodhpur (NLUJ) include – BBA LLB (Hons), BA LLB (Hons), LLM in Corporate Laws, LLM in Intellectual Property Rights, LLM in International Trade Law, LLM in Banking and Finance, LLM in Cyber Law and Cyber Security, MS Insurance, MBA Insurance, PhD in law, DLitt, LLD and DSc.

2.1 For B.A, LL.B (Hons.)

Candidates can secure admission in courses offered NLUJ based on CLAT score. Aspirants need to take part in CLAT admission process .After they clear the written test students have to participate in the counselling process.There are total 100 seats in aggregate for all categories. 15 additional seats are for foreign nationals.These candidates need to apply for CLAT exam as a NRI/NRI sponsored candidate and they will be offered admission basis CLAT merit list.

2.2 For Postgraduate LL.M

The eligibility criteria for LLM course admissions for Foreign Nationals is such that admission will be offered if candidates possess LLB or an equivalent law degree with 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam. There are total 80 seats for this course.

2.3 For Ph.D. in Law

The National Law University offers one doctoral program. Applicant must have earned master’s degree in Law with 55% aggregate score from a recognized university. The selection of the applicant is then finally based on the National Level Entrance Test which is conducted by NLUJ . It is then followed by the interview where performance in assessed. Candidate must score more than 50% marks in National Level Entrance Test while reserved category candidates with 10% of relaxation in test score. UGC-NET and JRF qualified candidates are excused to appear for the entrance test. However, they have to appear for the personal interview. A relaxation of 5% to the aggregate score of Master’s degree is granted to candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH categories.

Application Process: Aspirants need to visit the official website of CLAT to fill the application form. CLAT application form needs to be filled online itself.

Admit Card: Candidates can download the admit card for CLAT exam from the official website of the national level law entrance exam.
Admission Cycle: The application process for CLAT exam usually commences in the month of January/February each year.

3. NLUJ Eligibility

3.1. For BA LLB (Hons):

Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 45% marks.As per the 2017 rules, there is no age bar for admission.She/he is not eligible for admission if they do not clear their qualifying examination with the required marks. Candidates, whose marks sheets of the qualifying examination are not produced at the time of formal interviews carried by the university are also not eligible for admission.

3.2. For LLM (One year):

LLB or an Equivalent Law Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disability); the candidates appearing in final LLB examination in April/May 2018 can also apply

3.3. LL.M. in Constitutional and Administrative Law:

B.A. LL.B., B.Com LL.B, BBA LL.B., LL.B., B.Sc. LL.B, BTech LL.B., B.L.S. LL.B.Candidates belonging to Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories must have minimum 55% marks.

3.4.Ph.D. in Law:

The Candidate shall have a LLM Degree from a recognized university.

4. Fee Structure

4.1 B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Program

(Total fees which include components like Hostel, Tuition, Admission, Library, Refundable Deposit)

In the case of NRI/ NRI Sponsored candidates, the annual fee shall be Rs. 9 00,000/
