1. Over View

The Kirit P. Mehta School of Law (SOL) of SVKM’s NMIMS (Deemed-to-be-University) established in the year 2013 is approved by the Bar Council of India. NMIMS School of Law mainly offers 5-year integrated undergraduate LLB program amongst others.

2. Courses Offered

NMIMS offers admission in undergraduate and postgraduate law programsbased on an aspirant’s performance in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
Students here have an opportunity to specialize in humanities along with law. Selective foreign languages are also taught and given an option.

2.1 Application Process:

Aspirants need to visit the official website of CLAT to fill the application form. CLAT application form needs to be filled online itself.

2.2 Admit Card:

Candidates can download the admit card for CLAT exam from the official website of the national level law entrance exam.

2.3 Admission Cycle:

The application process for CLAT exam usually commences in the month of January/February each year.

2.4 International Student Admission:

NMIMS School of Law offers admission to under Foreign National and NRI/NRI Sponsored category and they are required to clear LSAT exam i.e. law school admission test.Submission of AIU certificate to confirm the eligibility for the program is mandatory for those candidates who have completed their (10+2) examination from overseas universities.

3. Eligibility

3.1. For BA LLB (Hons):

Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 50% marks.As per the 2017 rules, there is no age bar for admission.She/he is not eligible for admission if they do not clear their qualifying examination with the required marks. Candidates, whose marks sheets of the qualifying examination are not produced at the time of formal interviews carried by the university are also not eligible for admission.
There are total 60 seats.s

3.2. For LLM :

For Indian Nationals either B.A. LL.B., B.Com LL.B, B.Sc. LL.B, BBA LL.B., B.Tech LL.B., B.L.S. LL.B., LL.B. degree is must. The eligibility criteria for LLM course admissions for Foreign Nationals is such that admission will be offered if candidates possess LLB or an equivalent law degree with 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam. This criterion is for all the candidates. There are total 20 seats for this course in each stream.

NMIMS Written Test is required to get admission in all postgraduate courses.
