  • 1. Overview

    National University of Study and Research in Law or NUSRL Ranchi, Jharkhand is among the most statutory law universities in India. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate level courses.To get into NUSRL Ranchi, one has to clear CLAT and admission is based on Common Law Admission Test Score. It is state university and established in the year 2010.

    2. Courses Offered

    Aspirants are offered admission in law programs offered at NUSRLRanchion the basis ofCommon Law Admission Test (CLAT). The entrance exam is of 90 minutes duration and comprises of 150 questions.

    2.1 For B.A,LL.B (Hons.)

    Candidates meet NUSRLRanchi eligibility criteria for admission in UG course if they have cleared their 10+2 or equivalent exam with minimum 45% aggregate marks.
    Foreign Nationals meet the eligibility criteria to secure admission in BA LLB (Hons) program offered at NUSRLRanchi if they have secured 65% marks in Higher Secondary School Examination (of 10+2 system) or an equivalent examination.
    There are total 120 seats of which 60 seats are for general category, 24 seats for OBC, 21 seats for Schedule Tribe and 15 seats reserved for Scheduled Caste.

    2.2 For Postgraduate LL.M

    The eligibility criteria for PG course admission is such that aspirants should possess LLB or equivalent law degree with at least 55% marks. However, the minimum percentage for reserved category (SC/ST/ Persons with Disability) students is 50%.
    The eligibility criteria for LLM course admissions for Foreign Nationals is such that admission will be offered if candidates possess LLB or an equivalent law degree with 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.

    3. Getting into NUSRL

    3.1 For BA LLB (Hons)

    Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 45% marks.
    3.1.1. Age Limit: Below 21 years as on 01st July 2018 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates). Foreign Nationals are exempted. Foreign Nationals should have 65% aggregate score to be eligible to apply.
    3.1.2. Total Seats: There are total 120 seats of which 60 seats are for general category, 24 seats for OBC, 21 seats for Schedule Tribe and 15 seats reserved for Scheduled Caste.

    3.2 For LLM (One year)

    LLB or an Equivalent Law Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disability); the candidates appearing in final LLB examination in April/May 2018 can also apply
    3.2.1. Total Seats: There are in total 40 seats for this course.
