1. Over View

In 2009, JGU began its first academic session with the establishment of India’s first global law school. Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) is recognized by the Bar Council of India and offers a three-year LL.B. program, a five-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), a five-year B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program and a one year LL.M. program. JGLS has established several research centres in a variety of fields including: Global Corporate and Financial Law and Policy; Women, Law, and Social Change; Penology, Criminal Justice and Police Studies; Human Rights Studies; International Trade and Economic Laws; Global Governance and Policy; Health Law, Ethics, and Technology; Intellectual Property Rights Studies; Public Law and Jurisprudence; Environment and Climate Change Studies; South Asian Legal Studies, and Clinical Legal Programmes.

2. Courses Offered

SLS Hyderabad offers undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) level law programs to candidates. Courses offered at SLS Hyderabad include – Diploma in Cyber Law, Diploma in Intellectual Property: Law, Diploma Program in Human Resource Management and Labor Laws, Diploma in Taxation Law, Certificate Program in European Union Legal Studies.

2.1 For B.A, LL.B (Hons.)

Candidates can secure admission in courses offered SLS Pune based on Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) +Personal Interaction and Writing Ability (PI-WAT) score. Aspirants need to take part in SLAT admission process .After they clear the written test students have to participate in the PI-WAT process. The score for PI-WAT is 50 marks maximum. There are total 120 seats in BA LLB (Hons.). 120 seats are for BBA LLB (Hons.) course.

Application Process:

Symbiosis Law Admission Test is conducted at different exam centers all over India. SLAT is an online law admission test of total 150 marks. Subjects covered in this test are Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. There are total 150 questions of one mark each. 150 minutes are stipulated for this test.

On the basis of SLAT result SLS, Pune publishes and creates a list of shortlisted candidates who are further eligible for the PI-WAT.

PI (Personal Interaction):

Personal interaction/ interview of shortlisted candidates will be conducted by a panel of experts from Industry / Academic.

WAT (Writing Ability Test):

In this test one has to write a short essay on a given topic.

The score for PI-WAT is 50 marks maximum.

3. Eligibility

3.1. For BA LLB (Hons):

Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 45% marks(40% marks for SC/ST categories).As per the 2017 rules, there is no age bar for admission.She/he is not eligible for admission if they do not clear their qualifying examination with the required marks. Candidates, whose marks sheets of the qualifying examination are not produced at the time of formal interviews carried by the university are also not eligible for admission.
