ABOUT:
All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a common entrance exam for admitting students into various courses like BA Honours. (LLB), LLM and PhD in NLU Delhi. The AILET 2023 exam pattern has been changed.

ELIGIBILITY:
Eligibility: The eligibility for the students to appear for the AILET (LLB) exam includes 45% marks for general category students and 40% marks for SC/ ST /PWD students in the 12th standard exams ( Senior Secondary School Examination) or its equivalent exam. Candidates who are appearing for the 12th standard annual examination in 2023 are also eligible to apply.

Additional Supernumerary Seats: Apart from 110+ 10 seats, supernumerary seats are provided to 1 Kashmiri Migrant and 2 residents of Jammu & Kashmir respectively.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Application Form Starts from : September 7th, 2022
Last date for Applications: Extended to 20th November 2022.
Admit cards issuance: November 22, 2022
AILET exam: Dec 11th (11:00 AM to 12:30 AM)
(To be conducted offline, subject to revision)

EXAM INFO:
The AILET Exam has conducted for about 90 minutes duration and for 150 marks. Each correct answer gets 1 mark and every wrong answer loses 0.25 marks.
The AILET Exam pattern has changed in 2023.
The modified syllabus of AILET 2023 for B.A.LLB.(Hons.) Programme is given below.
AILET 2023 UG exam will have 3 sections.

SYLLABUS :

  • English: Fill in the blanks, Comprehension passages, antonyms, synonyms, idioms& phrases, jumble words& sentences and choosing correct words.
  • Current affairs and general knowledge: Economic, Civics, Current Affairs, History, Geography and General Science
  • Logical reasoning: Logical and analytical reasoning, Legal reasoning, rules and terms. Some legal principles may be used in combination with logical reasoning.

AILET TIE BREAKER:
When two or more candidates get the same marks the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), their marks in the section on LOGICAL REASONING will be taken into consideration to determine their rank in the AILET 2023. If the merit is still the same, then the more aged candidate shall get preference. If the merit is still the same, then computerized draw of lots will help in decision.

AILET EXAM FEES:AILET application is available only online and interested students should apply online on payment of application fee of Rs.3,050/-Rupees (General category) while SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) application fee is Rs.1,050/-rupees. SC/ST category who are Below Poverty Line (BPL) are exempted from the application fee. Exam fee can be paid through Debit /Credit cards/ UPI and Net Banking etc and an acknowledgement receipt will be generated after successful payment.
