Indian Law Society’s Law College also abbreviated as ILS Law School Pune is a private law school funded by The Ford Foundation. The college have a Moot Courts for law practicing. ILS has many cell for experiencing the real life scenarios in the legal education of the students. The college has a legal aid program involving final year students, and runs legal literacy programs for lay people.

2. Courses Offered

Indian Law Society College, Puneoffersundergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) level law programs to candidates. Courses offered at ILS include – Diploma in Corporate Law, Diploma in Property: Law, Diploma Program in Labor Laws and Welfare, Diploma in Taxation Law, Certificate Program in energy Law in India.

2.1 For B.A, LL.B (Hons.)

Candidates can secure admission in courses offered ILSPunebased on Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law (MHCET Law). Aspirants need to take part in its the admission process. After they clear the written test students to have to participate in the Counselling process. There is a total of 240 seats in BA LLB (Hons.). For the 3-year LLB course there are in total 180 seats.

2.2 For Postgraduate LL.M

Interested aspirants should apply online or offline following the registration process. The candidates will be then scrutinized based on the marks obtained and will therefore be shortlisted. Final selection will be done based on the marks obtained during their graduation. In addition, their performance during the interview will be considered. There is a total of 60 seats for LL.M.

2.3 For Postgraduate Diploma in Law

Interested candidates can apply online/ offline with the required information. Eligible candidates will be called for personal interviews based on academic records. Candidates are selected based on academic record and performance in personal interview.60percentage is based on academic record and 40% is based on personal interview.

Women get 30 % in LLB, 30% in LLM, EWS candidates get 10%  in  LLB and 10%  in LLM horizontal reservation in the seat allotment. 5% of the reservation will be given in seat allotment to Maharashtra Domicile students.

3. GLCM Eligibility

3.1. For BA LLB (Hons):

Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 45% marks (40% marks for SC and 42% ST categories). As per the 2017 rules, there is no age bar for admission.She/he is not eligible for admission if they do not clear their qualifying examination with the required marks. Candidates, whose marks sheets of the qualifying examination are not produced at the time of formal interviews carried out by the university are also not eligible for admission.
In addition, one has to clear the MHCET Law exam. Admissions to the college depend upon counselling based on the rank procured in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law (MHCET Law).

3.2. For LLM :

For Indian Nationals either B.A. LL.B., B.Com LL.B, B.Sc. LL.B, BBA LL.B., B.Tech LL.B., B.L.S. LL.B., LL.B. degree is must. The eligibility criteria for LLM course admissions for Foreign Nationals is such that admission will be offered if candidates possess LLB or an equivalent law degree with 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.

3.3.Post Graduate Diploma:

Candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university.

4.1 B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Program

5. Research Cells

ILS Law School Pune Research Centre was established in the academic year 2016-17. The Centre is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University. The main objective of the Centre is to run Ph.D. program in Law. Presently, 16 Ph.D. research scholars are registered in the Centre.
