* The difficulty level of a section is assessed as a function of both the toughness of questions as well as deviation from
the expected pattern.
There were 6 small passages which would have been easily handled by ALP students using skim & scan method. Passages were mostly from newspaper articles and the questions were direct. Some of the questions were based on vocabulary.
The legal reasoning section had a mix of legal reasoning and legal knowledge questions. The legal reasoning questions included only one principle-fact question and a few fact-based questions without principles. Legal GK included both assertion-reasoning questions as well as multiple-choice questions mostly based on constitutional law.
The section had usual mix of questions like syllogisms, strong/weak arguments, cause & effect, and other statement based questions. The surprise element in this section was the presence of maths questions. However, the questions were of moderate difficulty and students who were well-prepared would have tackled it with ease.
Similar to last year, this section had a good number of maths questions. In addition to the regular arrangement based puzzles including circular arrangement, odd one out, coding/decoding, clocks, and calendars, there were a couple of series questions using figures. Students who kept their cool would have done well in this section which was of moderate level.
GK section had a mix of ‘Static GK’ and current affairs which were fairly easy. ALP students found most of the questions familiar from their material.
