CLAT 2024 UG Paper Key- OBJECTIONS

ALP swiftly shared its answer key within an hour of the CLAT 2024 exam held on December 3, 2023, accompanied by a live YouTube session. The consortium later released the final answer key on December 4, 2023. Upon identifying discrepancies in 12 questions between our key and the one provided by the CLAT consortium, the ALP team has chosen to contest the key for 5 questions. Subsequently, amendments have been made to 7 questions in the ALP Key. Notably, revisions were applied to two question in GK and current affairs, one in Quantitative Techniques, two in Legal Reasoning, and two questions in Logical Reasoning.

Key to following questions are contentious as released by CLAT consortium and can be Contested/objected[An amount of 1000 has to be paid for contesting, which is non refundable if it is not accepted. Hence, contest at your discretion as the areas are susceptible to perceptions also] :-

Sl. NoSectionQuestion number as per SET-A(*)Consortium KeyALP KeyRemarks
1Legal ReasoningQ.70BDThere can be no correct option as the substantive question is missing,The question part is a plain sentence. It does not ask anything.[as to which option is true, false or what to draw conclusion ,inference]
2Logical ReasoningQ.89ACContest at your discretion:
Glow worms give you “momentarily” relief and act as ” raft”. If it helps them understand reality, then reality itself could be bad, and it doesnt act as momentarily relief. Hence “C” is the answer
3Logical ReasoningQ.100CBContest at your discretion:
If the workforce is absent, they are not available to repair the broken machine. What causes production delays is the key. Production delay itself means that efficiency is affected. So, the reason for the delay is the answer. Hence, B
4Logical ReasoningQ.103ADContest at your discretion:
A is not answer because marketing strategies exacerbate the situation, with some going into grey areas. So, A actually is a reason for suicide as per the passage. The burden of responsibility, is affecting morale of students. Setting papers difficult than standardized tests is also a problem. Option D is not causing suicide because living in different back ground and culture is a something in which education unfolds. It is not a direct cause by itself. Option a,b,c make staying away more painful.
5Logical ReasoningQ.107BAContest at your discretion:
Technology emerges as potential “EQUALISER”in “THIS” landscape. The lines immediately above talk about hurdles amplified for “gender minorities and mariginalised communitiies”. Option B is too generic a statement. And not everyone may be interested in Online education. Those who want to study from comfort of home, because of accessibility issues benefit from it. It is actually helpful for those to who dont have the chance to go to learning centers. Hence, We go with A. because it emphasizes on “EQUAL” opportunity to all.

The details of amended questions are as follow:-

Sl. NoSectionQuestion number as per SET-A(*)ALP KeyConsortium KeyRemarks
1Legal ReasoningQ.65ACConsortium seems to have emphasised on the word “Censor”. The word “Censor ”used in Option implies that the intermediaries can themselves remove the content whereas the same is not true as the decision on what to be removed is decided by Court order or government directive.
2Legal ReasoningQ.68BDAccording to consortium A is correct option. ALP faculty believes that the question just asked about threat in the sense that their right to publish will be curtailed, therefore option A although talks about possible impact but it does not talk about direct curtailment of freedom of press.
3Logical ReasoningQ.87DBRevising key from D to B. D seemed to be an answer because of ” as dry as rock”. B initially looked partially correct. But, because of the overall theme of the passage, we go with B.
4Logical ReasoningQ.98ABRevising the Key from A to B. The key word is”but” in the first point. If it was “and” then may be answer would differ.
5GKQ.29CBThe feeling of children as asked in question is about those children who would visit the Jalianwala Bagh today to witness the atrocities committed by Britishers in 1919 and not about children who were present at Jalianwala when this incident was committed.
6GKQ.41DAThe passage opens up using the words ” We as third world countries”, “Instituions like Isro” which doesnt specifically point towards ISRO, but suggests general people of India. Hence, we initially thought the answer is A.

However, Chandrayaan 3 landed on Aug 23 . The extract is from Aug 26th. It is a different date, so could be a different address than what the entire nation saw on landing day. The word “All the scientists like you” in the passage, suggests D as answer.
So, D looks plausible answer.

7Quantitative aptitudeQ.120DBQuant team thought 60% of rural population is self employed whereas according to consortium 60% of total population= self employed in rural areas.Same is true with Urban population.

This Article is created to help students in raising objections to consortium. As only 3 hours are left understand the urgency and utilise in the best possible manner.
